Cyprian Mugunbey of Colonia, Yap in the Federated States of Micronesia, was the first of about 25 readers to identify the Sept. issue photo as being Umatac Bay, Guam. Next in, a few days later, was Debbie Crosby of Castroville, Texas, who elaborated on the identification. "The mystery picture is taken from Fort Soledad overlooking Umatac Bay, where Magellan landed on the island of Guam."
