Fijian Troopers Fine Following Iraq Mortar Attack
(Fiji Live)
Fijian soldiers are fine following a mortar attack this week on Camp Tamimi in Iraq, the on-line news service Fiji Live reports.
A UN civilian contractor died in the attack, and two others were wounded, Fiji Live reports.
A Fiji Guard Unit Quick Reaction Force and medical team visited the Baghdad camp to check on Fijian troopers. A number of Fijian military units are based at Camp Tamimi.
Fiji Live says the Fiji military reports that the morale of Fijian troops remains high despite the numerous indirect fire attacks into the International Zone, which started on March 23.
