Arrest A 'Shock,' Says Media Executive

The Guam media executive who was arrested on criminal indictments filed in Hawaii says he's innocent, the Marianas Variety reports.
Evan Montvel-Cohen, who was arrested on Monday at the Guam International Airport when he returned from Manila, said he is unaware of the accusations against him in Hawaii. The managing director of the Sorensen Media Group was arrested by Guam law enforcement authorities on a bench warrant issued on April 15 by the First Circuit Court in Honolulu.
"It was a shock to arrive home at the
Guam television station KUAM yesterday reported that Montvel-Cohen was indicted on April 15, the same day a bench warrant was issued for him, by the Hawaii court for theft in the first degree, fraudulent use of credit card, forgery in the second degree, theft in the second degree, and money laundering.
