Continental Micronesia, the largest airline in the Western Pacific, this coming week will mark 10 years of service between its Guam hub and Cairns, Australia.
The airline in a news release said 13 representatives from Micronesian-region national travel organizations, hoteliers and tour organizations will hold a “Continental Micronesia Roadshow” in Cairns to mark the anniversary. The program will move on to Townsville and Brisbane.
“By directly meeting with the travel trade and the media, we will strengthen travel demand to Micronesia and enhance our existing relationship with Australia’s travel agency community,” said Continental Micronesia Asia and Micronesia Director for Sales and Marketing David Kendell.
The current schedule from Cairns to Guam operates on Mondays and Fridays. Flight time is approximately 4 hours and 25 minutes utilizing a new generation Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The aircraft seats up to 155 passengers in a two-class cabin, 14 in business and 141 in economy.
