Grimes, Schultz Named Managing Partners At Regional Firm




A Hawaii-based law firm that's active in the Western Pacific has named two lawyers with extensive regional experience as new managing partners.

Carlsmith Ball LLP today announced the promotions of Joanne Lo Grimes and Marcia K. Schultz as managing partners. Grimes is based in Hawaii, but has broad experience in Guam, where she used to work for the firm. Schultz is based on Saipan in the Northern Mariana Islands. The firm today also announced the promotion to managing partner of Honolulu-based Terri Ann M.K. Motosue.

Grimes concentrates her practice in the area of fiduciary representation by serving as legal advisor to the Government of Guam Retirement Fund, and representing private sector boards of trustees of profit and non-profit trusts.  She is the Vice President/President-Elect for Hawaii Women Lawyers, the Secretary and Director for the Hawaii Justice Foundation, and has been with the firm since 1995.

Schultz has worked with a broad range of client industries, including hotels, golf courses, retailers, tour companies, restaurants, financial institutions and foreign companies. She is a member of the Employment Law Alliance, representing Guam and Saipan.  She has been with the firm since 1989.

Carlsmith Ball LLP has office in Guam, Saipan, five offices in Hawaii and one in Los Angeles, California.
